We are seeking a registered nurse to join our Immunisation Team.
Within the Te Whatu Ora, Lakes area this role aims to:
- To support and work with existing networks providing immunisation information, education, support and advice to vaccinators, non-vaccinators and the general public.
- Work in collaboration with immunisation providers to develop effective immunisation strategies under a continuous quality improvement framework. Working across the district with stakeholders to ensure immunisation providers are competent to safely administer vaccines and to assist in maintenance of the cold chain. Provide clinical expertise, guidance and support to organisations that provide and promote immunisation enabling them to reach immunisation coverage and targets
- Support evidence based education to ensure continuing competency of the vaccinator workforce. By providing up-to-date, evidence-based information to assist vaccinators, non-vaccinators and the general public in their decision-making in regard to immunisation services and the immunisation of children, young people and adults.
- Monitor the effectiveness of immunisation uptake and strategies establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with all service providers with an interest in immunisation activity, to reduce duplication, enhance effectiveness of services, and achieve the maximum benefit within allocated resources.
