Accountant (Junior) [South Korea]


 

Financial Accounting
  • Support accounting manager for day-to-day accounting operation of the company on all areas in order to provide timely and accurate reports as required by relevant laws and regulations or requirements
  • Be involved in Korea Audit and Global Audit
  • Support local team to provide clarity on
Account Receivable & Payable
  • Take ownership of the Issuance of invoice and tax invoice
  • Monitor AR collection & follow up on overdue
  • Primary point of contact to Seoul office staff and external suppliers and partners for resolving payment queries
  • Manage Account Payable transaction and review the related evidence
  • Take ownership of the SAP Concur account and manage the employee’s access
  • Employee Expenses review and support accounting manager to overview and setup employee expense policy
  • Overall bookkeeping for responsible accounts but not limited to
  • Perform reconciliation for responsible accounts.
Treasury
  • Check and update daily cash in and out.
  • Prepare payment based on payment schedule and try to improve payment procedure
  • Support accounting manager to prepare cashflow, cash forecast timely.
Tax
  • Support for preparation filing of value added tax (quarterly VAT filing) and other tax
  • Support for Corporate income tax return preparation to tax authorities
Others
  • Handling bank related matters
  • Local support for banking such as providing/receiving documents to/from banks
  • Corporate card management including issue, close and limitation control
  • Physical filing related documents
  • Keep and file contracts related to the company (Office lease, client and partner contracts, etc.)
  • Work closely with team members, to drive clear and concise conclusions in accounting matters
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in finance & accounting field in a multinational company or accounting firm
  • Degree qualified with finance or accounting
  • Knowledge and experience with local statutory requirements and statutory audits will be a plus (Local GAAP, statutory financial statements, tax calculations, VAT returns)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint and Google Spreadsheet & Slides
  • Experience using Accounting tool
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask
  • Strong written and verbal skills both in English & Korean
