Job Description:
This position is to draft and review legal documentation with supervision from in-house Legal Counsels and provide assistance to in-house Counsels on legal cases and projects; handle various administrative matters with respect to the Legal Department independently
Responsibilities:
Handle simple contract drafting and review simple business contracts and marketing materials relating to Distribution Channels;
Provide simple legal advice independently
Assist Counsels to conduct legal research and follow up legal tasks and litigation cases relating to Distribution Channels (including preparing monthly litigation reports)
Assist Counsels in taking instruction from the business and liaise with external lawyer, if needed
Maintain and update contract database and legal filing system (including preparing third party contracts reports)
Filing and handle payment of external bills (including preparing of monthly expense reports)
Prepare summary of monthly legal and regulatory updates
Provide general administrative and clerical support to Legal Department such as word processing support, translating documents, preparing and drafting legal reports, etc
Requirement:
LLB degree holder, PCLL preferred
3-4 years' relevant experience working in law firm or in-house legal environment
Experience in insurance industry preferred
Basic understanding of the laws of Hong Kong and the legal system
Basic legal knowledge to handle general enquiries and research and know and when to escalate according to the agreed process.
