Medtronic IHS (Integrated Health Solutions) is looking for a talented student worker for our growing consulting team in the Nordics.As a Student Worker in Consulting at Medtronic IHS, you will work with the clinical staff and key hospital stakeholders at Danish hospitals to understand and analyze the organization, culture and challenges and deliver tangible solutions to improve productivity and quality for the benefit of patients. You will contribute to ensuring the solutions will be implemented as an integrated part of the way of working, and you can expect to contribute to projects like:
- Optimized patient pathways with a focus on the patient’s journey from arrival to discharge
- Better planning of the daily program, e.g., operating program
- Working with elements to improve workflows
- More efficient use of the capacity of resources and facilities
- Improved team collaboration between clinical professionals
- Data-driven analytics to improve the clinical, operational, and financial outcome
You will be part of the Nordic IHS organization. We are collaborating with our international team of 50 dedicated and experienced consultants with deep knowledge of the value chain in the healthcare system. The international team draws on internal and cross-functional competencies, and you will become part of a professional environment where you can use the team for sparring and knowledge sharing for best practices.
In the Nordics region, we are a small, agile team of six consultants who work closely to develop innovative projects and solutions for the largest hospitals in the Nordic countries. Here you will also have the opportunity to work with Business Development to get a more extensive understanding of the strategic focus in the organization.
In Medtronic IHS, we work in long-term partnerships with hospitals that typically last more than three years. You will be involved throughout all project phases, from the first analysis to fully implementing the designed solutions with the clinics.
A Day in the Life
As a student worker, some of your tasks and responsibilities may include:

A Day in the Life
As a student worker, some of your tasks and responsibilities may include:
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data
- Organizing and participating in interviews with clinical staff and leaders
- Organizing and facilitating workshops
- Analyzing of complex challenges and design of solutions for these
- Implementation of solutions in close collaboration with managers and employees
Must Haves
We are searching for a candidate, who is:
- Studying a higher education, e.g., business, political science, economics, or healthcare
- In the last year of bachelor or first year of master
- Strong in quantitative competencies combined with a curious and empathic approach
- Interested in optimization and improvement work
- Fluent in Danish and English
- Is based in/near Copenhagen
- You will mainly be working on projects in hospitals within driving distance of Copenhagen. Still, we cover the entire Nordic region, and there may be an opportunity to travel to other partnerships and contribute to relevant projects. Transport expenses are reimbursed.
- We expect a workload of approx. 20 hours per week, but with flexibility during exam periods and holidays
- Duration: 12 months with a possibility of extension
You will get the opportunity to test your newly acquired competencies in practice in close collaboration with, e.g., doctors and nurses.
